Through our experience since 2016, we found that improving lives is sustainable when local community leaders and organizations are taking action to improve living conditions in their own community.
Sawyer filters are versatile, compact, effective, and easy to use.

Rita Defour and Cornerstone Foundation
In December 2022, with Sawyer water filters in-hand, we visited Rita Defour, Director of the Cornerstone Foundation located in San Ignacio. Cornerstone, founded in July 1999, is a solid, well run organization focusing on key issues impacting their community and has a wide range of programs supporting women, youth, health, literacy, and relief and aid from poverty. We quickly came to the conclusion that the water filtration systems fit perfectly into their portfolio as health issues continuously arise from people drinking contaminated water.
